Creative direction across design, space & story.

All perceivable forms arise from deeper underlying structures.

Forma Narrative is grounded in narrative as a foundational method, engaging with cultural contexts and latent logics to construct systems through which design articulates itself. Through strategy, we shape frameworks; through design, we inscribe stories — forming a fully sensory world that can be perceived, and entered.

FORMA ⟨fɔr-ma⟩

  1. n. Latin. Form; contour; beauty; order. The way in which a thing presents itself to the world — its shape, its order, the quality by which it becomes recognizable. Also: a model, a pattern; something by which form is given.
  2. Fig. A belief about form and narrative: that form is not imposed from the outside, but emerges from the deeper inner structure of the thing itself.

[ What We Do ]

We treat a brand, a site, a history as text, and take narrative as the method by which they are read and generated. Form arises from structure. The way a thing appears in the world depends on whether the order within it has been recognised. Reading, establishing, embodying, connecting, sustaining — one method, at every scale.

Ⅰ.Close Reading

Before proposing anything, we read. A brand, a site, a history left behind — each is treated as a text: its hierarchy, its rhythm, what it says, and what it leaves unsaid. The problem is rarely a lack of elements, but the absence of a relationship between them. Reading comes before answers. It brings the question that truly needs answering to the surface.

Ⅱ.Story Architecture

A system that has not yet been structured can appear from the outside as a scattering of separate parts. We define the central proposition, the relations between its roles, and the axes along which the story runs — what is said first, what is held back. Every form that follows is answerable to it. Strategy decides the structure by which a thing exists in the world.

Ⅲ.Narrative Environments

Once a narrative acquires scale and a body, it is no longer read but experienced. We design what a space says and in what sequence. Circulation becomes syntax; material becomes tone; composition becomes style; and light determines which sentence is heard. What is remembered may not be the whole sequence but a few moments — spatial design works on how meaning arrives in the body.

Ⅳ.Narrative Systems

A brand is seldom encountered as a single, complete reading. It appears in parts — identity, website, printed matter, communications — each at a different scale. We work on the relation between them: which segment of the narrative each carries, how information is ordered, how continuity holds as a reader moves between surfaces. A system is not the unification of appearances, but the condition under which parts, read separately, still point to one structure.

Ⅴ.Narrative Integration

A brand narrative is unfolded again and again — across media, scales and time. Integration establishes grounds that can be cited, so that a narrative executed by different hands at different times remains verifiable. We deliver in four forms: the brand manual, the integration report, the marketing strategy, the vision paper. Each may stand alone, or together they form a complete system of narrative governance.
